Unfortunately it has a leak somewhere so we don't have it running for the public yet, but it makes a dinosaur and we hope one day to have it make a violin. But so nice to know the new machines are good! We'll have to go back and try them someday.
Korinthiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15580286551375780490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8654887465201994138.post-18015096793947240682017-06-06T17:00:28.556-05:002017-06-06T17:00:28.556-05:00I just wanted to pop in on this and say I went to ...I just wanted to pop in on this and say I went to the Knoxville Zoo today and the Mold-A-Matic machines are all in working order. I don't believe they are the same as the ones you saw in 2014, because I totally remember the ones you have in the pictures from when I was a kid in the 90s. The ones I used today were in tip top shape and pretty impressive.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03674981297663372786noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8654887465201994138.post-15633684223569567702014-02-24T22:54:57.875-06:002014-02-24T22:54:57.875-06:00We walked through the bird area of the Busch Garde...We walked through the bird area of the Busch Gardens in Tampa, but I wasn't up for buying more seed sticks at that point. Beautiful birds there, though. If you go back to Knoxville plan to visit the budgies! They were definitely what Lil would refer to as "squee worthy".

The budgies? Nope. I've not been since Bean was a teeny Beanie, maybe a year old? I wonder if they put them where the butterflies used to be. It's a rather small zoo, isn't it? We have a similar budgie area at Busch Gardens and the girls do in fact love it. :o) (But, alas, NO Mold-A-Ramas! WTHeck? Tampa has them!)

Good to know about the bear machine. I think I was distracted by the black bears and, well, I didn't *know* about Mold-A-Ramas then to look for them. ;o)

We might have to stop and visit in April when we head out that way to visit my grandfather...Rachhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09317328366288947798noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8654887465201994138.post-86454840082907563222014-02-23T19:17:21.053-06:002014-02-23T19:17:21.053-06:00That would have been fun! That's where I live and I wish I could have seen you! (Although, I just looked it up and Milwaukee is listed at #30 for size in the U.S., and Knoxville is at #128--so I guess that's a big enough difference for us to notice. And we've also spent time in Chicago, which makes Milwaukee look small.)

Red panda BABIES! I think my kids would have died from the cuteness. We miss the red pandas.

If you go back, the bear machine is right as you enter the zoo in a covered area near the bears. Only a buck! It's a good figure, and it's in a protected enough spot that that machine seems to be doing okay. (The rest though... Yikes!)

Was the budgie area running when you went? They said it was fairly new. Your girls would love it, I'm sure.Korinthiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15580286551375780490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8654887465201994138.post-56546145438126658712014-02-22T22:31:12.274-06:002014-02-22T22:31:12.274-06:00It's funny to hear Knoxville called a "sm...It's funny to hear Knoxville called a "small city" because to me it's HUGE. :oD

I have photos of Hannah brushing the goats and of the girls and the red pandas. The last time we were there, there were red panda babies--it was marvelous. :o)

Aaaaand, *now* I know how I missed the Mold-A-Rama machines--they're neglected and look broken down! It all makes sense now! :oPRachhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09317328366288947798noreply@blogger.com
