Aden and I decided it would be too strange still. But we can see through the windows that they painted the kitchen and it looks nice. We could not have sold the house to nicer people, so that helps.

Go Liam! My brother decided at 5 he wanted to be an entomologist and he recently was asked by E.O.Wilson to contribute an illustration to one of his new insect books.

This clip is pretty old, but it was part of a demo package Barrett put together when he was auditioning for something on a science channel. (They decided he was too 'Yea, bugs are great!' and not enough 'Ooh! Look how scary and weird bugs are!' for their format.) Liam might enjoy it:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcpdXtw7PvAKorinthiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15580286551375780490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8654887465201994138.post-51943935494989066972012-10-03T08:52:10.901-05:002012-10-03T08:52:10.901-05:00I'm so glad you had such a great family visit....I'm so glad you had such a great family visit. It must be so strange to live across the street from your old house. Do you ever go over and see changes they've made? I also can't believe you did the move while Ian was deployed with three kids. Wow.

Not sure if I've told you but Liam (5) wants to be an entymologist when he grows up. He would have loved to identify all the cool bugs with your brother :)Peghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02162890081910497200noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8654887465201994138.post-9288972842571446392012-10-02T21:59:28.363-05:002012-10-02T21:59:28.363-05:00I know that feeling well. In a way I like seeing the old house all the time, especially since our new neighbors love it and care for it well, but it still feels weird that we can't just walk right in. Or that there are things I bought myself and installed, like the round decorative piece at the end of the railing, that I can't alter now, or take off if I feel like. It's weird. But it was so hard to leave the house that 2 of my babies had actually been born in and 2 more had been brought home to less than 8 hours after their births. No matter that it had only 3 bedrooms and we were an 8-person family - I felt that we belonged to it and it to us. Our new townhome is bigger and nicer; but I still feel a little sad every time I walk by our old house.Suburban Correspondenthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11488916572135296650noreply@blogger.com
